TAKE 5 TV Show Taping

An Empowered Woman, a global networking community and online resource center for women professionals had great success at our TAKE 5 TV Show taping. We are now filming at Centronet Studios in Torrance, CA. The studio is awesome and the crew took great care of us. We had Charisma on Camera‘s Sandra Dee Robinson coaching the ladies prior to their taping. Sandra has years of experience working in Hollywood on shows such as DAYS OF OUR LIVES and ALL MY CHILDREN.  Skeeter Betty, professional beauty consultant with Mary Kay, did a phenomenal job with the ladies’ make-up.

Desiree interviewed our business women on topics ranging from marketing tools that have set these ladies apart to sharing what their biggest business lessons have been. The inspiring stories the women shared are encouraging and valuable to all female entrepreneurs. The TV Shows are currently in the editing room and will be published on Monday. We are so excited to see these segments because all of the women being interviewed did a fantastic job!

Our TV Show interviews are just one of the many member benefits. Power of 7 Retreat

The Power of 7, a working retreat at the beautiful Center for Energetic Healing in Simi Valley was a great success! This intensive two day workshop began on Thursday morning with  homemade meals in a beautiful, rustic, peaceful setting. The ladies had the opportunity to get to know one another and discuss their goals, business plans and what they would like to accomplish over the course of two days. After breakfast, everyone gathered in the conference room and got down to work. Desiree provided the women with an extensive amount of information and guided and instructed them on how to utilize the marketing and internet tools that have made An Empowered Woman a success. These tools will set you apart as a woman in business and are tools essential to your grow.

The Power of 7 is a proven method that teaches women how to utilize the many resources that should be part of  every successful business plan.

The retreat was an incredible experience. It was not only filled with the amazing amount of knowledge that was shared but it was an awesome way of bonding, brainstorming and networking with other business women. We all come from different backgrounds and experiences and we found a way to work through our own blocks, create new relationships,  learn from one another and make more money!

And There Was Money, Money, Money

An Empowered Woman took a look at how to create, keep, and manage wealth at our last Second Sunday.

The event was held at the ever-so-elite Oliver cafe in The Sports Club LA. A buffet styled lunch was served which included lots of healthy, fresh greens served in all different forms- a lunch no one had to feel guilty about post indulging, and even if someone did, all at the event were given a one week free membership to The Sports Club LA, so no worries there.

After the ladies had the chance to mingle and see what our vendors had to offer, the speakers (Angela Setters-Founder of Conquer Credit, Lorraine Conaway-Financial Strategist with over 20 years experience, and Maria Simone-Transformational Business and Funding Strategist) began to inform their audience about how to be financially savvy in business.

Angela spoke about the science behind the credit scoring systems. Lorraine touched on the surprising amount of money that may be found today in your tax returns. Lastly, Maria shared with the audience all of the hidden, though abundant, resources available to them.

After the presentation, those listening had the opportunity to personally ask whatever financial questions they had to our speakers in the “Coaching Circles” portion of the afternoon.

Many questions were asked and many were answered.

All empowered women present left the event with a better understanding of how to create, keep, and manage their cash.

Happy Almost Mothers Day

Ladies, it’s almost that time of year again…Mother’s Day! In honor of this wonderful holiday, May’s Second Sunday will be a celebration of our beloved mothers and women in general. The celebration will take place Sunday May 8, 2011 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Will Rogers Polo Club—think Pretty Woman (polka-dot dresses and sunhats optional).

Admission to the event is FREE, though parking will be a cost of $12. All are welcome to attend and encouraged to bring friends and family. We suggest you bring blankets or chairs to sit on and a picnic lunch to enjoy while watching the famous game of Polo.

In addition to watching a game of polo, you and your loved ones may explore some of the beautiful hiking trails, take a peek around the Will Rogers Museum, or play a game of Frisbee in the recreational park, all available and open to our guests at this Second Sunday event.
